Types of bets

There are many different types of bets that are available to the punte nowadays, especially with the internet boom.

Even before the interne bookmakers were coming up with new ways to part punters from their cash, with such inventions as virtual racing and the Irish lottery.

On any given weekend and most games in the top flight you can find upwards of 20 different types of bets. These can range from the correct score to number of corners to half time full time result.

With so many different bets to have and so many different ways of losing your money it cn be daunting at first to select the types of bets you want. Most people just stick to the straight home win away win or draw. The bookies love the punter that comes in and places a few pounds on a 7 team accumalator hoping that it comes in so they can win a maybe a few thousand. In reality these bets hardly ever come off. Everytime you place another team in an accumalator you are doubling your chances of losing.

If you want low risk bets then stick with in play bets, and on matches that you can watch. If a team goes 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go then back the team thats 2-0 up. Problem with this is the odds will be rubbish we are talking 1/50, which means you need to place a £50 bet to win £1.
